Pada intro lagu grup Guns N' Roses berjudul Civil War, ada narasi berbunyi, "What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men, you just can't reach. So, you get what we had here last week. Which is the way he wants it, well, he gets it. An' I don't like it any more than you men." Narasi itu berasal dari filem Cool Hand Luke [Warner Bros Pictures | 1967]. Baris pertama dari kalimat Luke itu, "What we've got here is failure to communicate" sendiri telah menjadi semacam ungkapan di Amerika, meski kalimat itu sendiri memiliki kesalahan gramatikal ketika pertama kali muncul namun 'bisa diterima' di beberapa bagian Amerika.
